uint64_t cmb_random_poisson(double r)

Poisson distribution, number of arrivals per unit time in a Poisson process with arrival rate r > 0. Rates higher than 1e18 are not numerically representable, so r <= 1e18.

Mean r, variance r, interarrival times exponentially distributed with mean 1/r.

Models the number of shot noise pulses, customer arrivals, incoming calls, Geiger counter clicks, etc., per unit of time.
